African Shop Illusion

Below is a shop in Burkina Faso, in Africa. The owner seems to be looking for customers, but it seems like there is nothing interesting in his collection of bowls and buckets, or are we missing something. If we were to move a few steps towards our left, we can see something really interesting! Can you see it now? All the items, the straw roof, and the tree branch form the face of a man. The multi-coloured items on top form his hat, and his nose and mouth are to the right.

Jar illusion

It had often seen this illusion where the space between a pair of profile faces forms a jar, a glass or similars, but always were drawings. It is first that I see it with a real figure.

Coffer Illusion

First time viewers of this display invariably do not see the 16 circles segmented from the background. Rather, they see a series of rectangles that they frequently describe as “door panels”. The illusion pits segmentation cues against what appears to be a very strong prior to interpret the image as a series of 3-D structures “coffers” with closed boundaries.
