Disappearing Blue Dot Illusion

Keep staring at the blue dot in the middle of the picture. The blue dot will shrink slowly and then disappear completely ! This is due to the color receptors in your eyes getting tired.

I stared at it for a couple mins and the blue dot didn't disappear but when I looked away I certainly had a crazy bright pink after image.
