Real World Escher´s Waterfall Illusion
Silencing is a new illusion that shows it's hard to notice when moving objects change
SILENCING demonstrates the tight coupling of motion and object appearance. Simply by changing the retinotopic coordinates—moving the object or the eyes—it is possible to silence awareness of visual change, causing objects that had once been obviously dynamic to suddenly appear static.
Motion silences awareness of color changes
Instructions: Play the movie while looking at the small white speck in the center of the ring. At first, the ring is motionless and it's easy to tell that the dots are changing color. When the ring begins to rotate, the dots suddenly appear to stop changing. But in reality they are changing the entire time. Take a look.
The same is true of changes in brightness, size, and shape:
Motion silences awareness of brightness changes
The paper, titled Motion silences awareness of visual change, was published online in Current Biology on January 6, 2011. It was written by graduate student Jordan Suchow and professor George Alvarez, both in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University.
These demos were created by Jordan Suchow (suchow@fas.harvard.edu) and George Alvarez, and first appeared in a paper in Current Biology.

Moon Optical Illusion
The Moon Illusion is created by a conflict between the intuitive and rational parts of the brain. It can be depicted with an inverted Ponzo illusion as shown above. All four moons are the same size, yet on the left, the lower moon nearer to the horizon appears larger than the higher moon. Scroll the picture back and forth and see if you don’t agree.

Impossible motion: magnet-like slopes
In this video, wooden balls roll up the slopes just as if they are pulled by a magnet. The behavior of the balls seems impossible, because it is against the gravity. The video is not a computer graphic, but a real scene. What is actually happening is that the orientations of the slopes are perceived oppositely, and hence the descending motion is misinterpreted as ascending motion. This illusion is remarkable in that it is generated by a three-dimensional solid object and physical motion, instead of a two-dimensional picture.

Best Afterimage Illusion
This is one of the best afterimage illusion. To see the illusion for your self, watch this sequence of images for about 30 seconds (it takes at least 15 seconds for it to really work)
What you should see is, after 20 or 30 seconds, the blank shapes start to be filled with a "ghostly" color. That's the afterimage, and though the actual colors only fill part of the the shapes, the afterimage tends to fill the whole thing. But that's not the neat part. The neat part is that the color of the afterimage (either red or green) depends on the shape of the blank figure! If it's a star (that is, if one of the four points is pointing straight up), the afterimage will be reddish, because red is the opponent color of the green in the colored figure of the same shape. If the same figure is shifted sideways 45 degrees, the afterimage is green, because the original figure of that shape was colored red. What's more, if you view one, and then the other, as in the series above, your after image immediately changes from one color to the other (e.g., red then green in the figures on the right side).
