Add illusion to your tattoo with drop shadows

If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, here’s something you should know. Scary animals with subtle drop-shadows look much better than those without shadows. Above, you will see the original image, that this man has tattooed. Very cool, especially how the tail of the scary arachnid looks like it’s in the air and about to strike.

Next, look at the image below and you’ll see no drop shadow. Now it just looks like a puny drawing on his arm.

Leopard Elephant Hybrid Illusion

At a far distance, the leopard above will regroup with its ghostly halo to form an elephant. The prominent texture of the leopard spots transform into a dark shadowy region on the underbelly of the elephant, as if he recently exited a lake nearby.
You can also try this by slowly closing your eyes a bit in front of this image.

Sun City Escher Floor

This is the painted floor of Sunshine City in Ikebukuro Tokyo Japan.

It just illustrates the power of shading.one of the simplest illusions to create but also one of the most effective.

Biggest Elephant Illusion

This illusion is from a very old newspaper cutting though the same illusion (or variants on it) appears in popular publications today. The caption invites the reader to guess which elephant is bigger...but this is an illusion: They are all the same size. If you don't believe it, try measuring them with a ruler.

The illusion makes use of two devices to suggest distance - the perspective lines receding to a vanishing point and the use of shading. Because these features cause the eye to think that the darkest elephant is nearer, we assume it will appear largest. The fact that the lightest shade of elephant appears larger fools us into thinking it is actually a bigger elephant.

WWF Campaign:Preserve your world,Preserve yourself

World Wildlife Fund has launched this remarkable print advertisement in Brazil with a view to depict miserable conditions of wildlife and forest and to urge people to take action in this direction. The campaign tries to remind a person how human actions caused misery to the environment and to the extent that it is now pushed on the verge of destruction. At the same time, it describes that the destruction of the environment would mean destruction of the very source of life. The advertisement has extraordinarily shown the depressing and gloomy expression of environment using the surroundings of forest.

The campaign from visual perspective is actually extremely compelling and expressive, as it has captured the emotion of sorrow very efficiently. The campaign is immensely successful to communicate its basic idea effectively. While showing the gloomy face of environment it has also drawn attention towards how magnificent nature is, to depict source of vitality. The punch line of the campaign reads, ‘Preserve your world, preserve yourself.’ Campaign was created by DM9 DDB, Brazil.

The Hidden Tiger Illusion
