Wheel of Confusion

Which way is the wheel turning!?
Focus on the red dots and follow them round... it appears to be rotating anti-clockwise. However, if you follow the yellow dots round instead, the whole wheel will be turning the other way! - clockwise!

The gear wheels should appear to slowly rotate. Wheels are not actually rotating.You can confirm this by noting the position of outer wheels.When you stare at the image properly the mind will get confused and think like its moving clock direction.

Brown Sun Bubbling

Our Sun may look like all soft and fluffy, but its not. Our Sun is an extremely large ball of bubbling hot gas, mostly hydrogen gas. The above picture was taken in a specific color of light emitted by hydrogen gas called Hydrogen-alpha. Granules cover the solar photosphere surface like shag carpet, interrupted by bright regions containing dark sunspots. Visible at the left edge is a solar prominence. Our Sun glows because it is hot, but it is not on fire. Fire is the rapid acquisition of oxygen, and there is very little oxygen on the Sun. The energy source of our Sun is the nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium deep within its core. Astronomers are still working to understand, however, why so few neutrinos are measured from the Sun's core.

Here are a few popular myths that are too good to be true!

It takes seven years to digest gum.

While it may prove a bit more difficult to break down than organic foodstuffs, chewing gum gets no special treatment from the digestive system. Doctors figure this old wives’ tale was invented to prevent kids from swallowing the rubbery substance.

Hair and fingernails continue growing after death.

Though hair and fingernails appear to keep growing after death, this is merely a morbid optical illusion at work. In death the human body dehydrates severely, retracting enough skin to expose more nail and hair.

The five second rule.

Having an arbitrary rule justifying the consumption of food dropped on the floor within a certain time frame is convenient, especially when said food is a brownie. Unfortunately, tests (and logic) confirm that germs will stick to most foods right on contact.

Optical Illusion of Mars Eclipse

Stare at the white dot in the centre of the red circle. The longer - the better (two minutes and you’ll get a much stronger effect). Always try to keep focused on the white dot. It’ll be worth it.

Soon after staring, you’ll start to see a thin rim of light around the edge. Don’t stop staring though yet! Wait another minute - keeping your head perfectly still.

Once you’ve done this, very slowly - move your head backwards - making sure to keep your eyes focused on the dot at all times. The circle’s rim will glow brilliantly with true Cyan! Keep on moving your head slowly backwards, and witness the Eclipse of Mars!

Virgin Mary Spotted On Baking Pan

A Houston elementary cafeteria worker discovered the image of the Virgin Mary on a cookie sheet pan.

On Ash Wednesday, Lupe Rodriguez was scrubbing pans in the schools cafeteria when she discovered the image.

As she continued scrubbing the pan Rodriguez said the image kept emerging and growing until she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Now a shrine has been made in the honor of the Virgin Mary image on the cookie sheet and people are beginning to flock to see her image.

Heads in the Clouds

This Head in the Clouds image has been made by one of friend Jamie Durrant-UK.

Jamie D :Just trying to work out how hard it is to add a figure into a tilt shift scene. I scoured my other photos to see if I had a suitable pose that would fit, and after much masking and tweaking came back with this.
I’m not entirely sure about it though, there’s something about the figure which doesn’t fit into the scene.
