The ghostly Angel of the Vatican

When retired policeman Andy Key went on a trip to Rome, he was struck by the beauty of sunlight streaming through a window in the Vatican.

As the Pope made an address nearby, he decided to capture the stunning image on his camera.

But it was only when Mr Key, 48, and his wife Susan, 44, returned home and and downloaded their photographs that they noticed a strange apparition in the picture.

An apparition? Andy Key's image of a 'guardian angel' above the heads of other visitors to St Peter's Basilica
They were amazed to see what looked like the image of a guardian angel above the heads of other visitors to St Peter's Basilica.

Mr Key, from March, Cambridgeshire, said: "It looks like an angel hovering on the people's heads.

"No-one can explain it - there's nothing on their heads for the light to bounce off."

Mr Key went on the holiday to mark his retirement from his job as a police constable for Cambridgeshire Police.

He and his wife, a medical secretary, were looking around the famous church when they noticed a large group of people and realised the Pope was making an address nearby.

"I was taking pictures of all the things around us and saw this huge window with the light streaming through and thought it looked beautiful," he explained.

"I snapped the picture and didn't noticed anything until I got home.

"It looks almost like a hologram. I thought it was really spooky."

Cat Dog Hybrid Illusion

When you look at the image below,At normal screen viewing distance you should see the face of the Cat. Now squint your eyes or take a few steps back from the image. Does a Dog pop into view?

It is interesting to note that without the provided original images for comparison, the hybrid could be imagined as a real image. The features of each animal blend together; the nose of the dog becomes a shaded patch on the face of the cat. Although there is a successful and definite switch that occurs with altered distance, the hybrid itself appears as if it is a new animal all together.

Illusions with Mathematics

This is an amazing illusion trick with mathematics. You can play this trick with anybody.

Just try it friends, you will be amazed. Please comment what you think about this post.

It goes like this:

Think of a number between 1 and 10 .

Now double it.

Now add 8 to that. You have new number.

Take your new number, and divide it by 2. You have a new number once again.

Now, I want you to subtract your original number from the number you have now. Concentrate on this number.

Let’s switch gears. I want you to think of the letter in the alphabet that corresponds with your number. That is, if your number is 2, think of B. If your number is 3, think of C. And so on.

Concentrate on that letter. Got it? OK, now, think of a country that begins with that letter. Can be anywhere. Got it? Great. Now concentrate on your country.

With your country in your mind, let’s go to the next letter in the alphabet. So, if your country begins with B, go to letter C. And so on.

You’re now thinking of your country and your other letter. Now, think of an animal that begins with that other letter. Got your animal? Good. Now concentrate and visualize the color of that animal. Got it? Good. Now concentrate on three things: your country, your animal, and the color of the animal. Try to see it in your mind.

Just remember that there are no grey elephants in Denmark.

Christopher Walken in Space Illusion

Christopher Walken appears to be flying through space. However this is an illusion.

The picture is an animated GIF, and it contains 4 discrete pictures. The first 2 are normal black and white, although slightly shifted in respect to each other. The second 2 are inverted images (i.e. the negative version) and again the 2 images are slightly shifted in respect to each other. When viewed as a sequence, however, Christopher Walken appears to be moving through space - in 1 direction continuously!
